Impacts of Technology!

Technology is something that impacts all of our lives. There are no ways of getting around it. It's TV, computers, cell phones, i-pods, flash drives, and everything in between.
Technology has impacted me from day one of my life outside the womb. It was technology that got me here, because I was born via c-section. So I don't think that there is anything I accomplish without technology. It wakes me up in the morning (alarm clock), it warms my breakfast (microwave), it gets me to school and work (automobile), it helps me in class (computer), it helps me to dress for the weather (TV-news), and it connects me to friends and family (phone).
In this day in time the only way to function for me is through technology. I'm am son greatful for it. It has impacted my life very positively. I don't take it for granted though. With it's high commodity it is the most need thing in the world at this point and will only become more popular as time goese on!

Cyberculture Experience

I was first introduced to cyberculture with Yahoo Messenger. I started using this messenger in high schoool with friends in a computer class that i was taking. My most recent exposure would have to be Myspace. My first year in college I was introduced to Facebook and Myspace came a little later. Presently I really don't involve myself in too much cyberculture do to it's unimportance in my life.
Cyberculture has had mostly a positive affect on me. I only use it to keep in touch with friends and family, but I would just rather use my cell phone. I think the only negative affect it has had on me is by its easy access to find people on-line. I don't like the fact that people that I would rather not talk to can find me on-line by just "google-ing" my name.
Cyberculture as a whole has exceeded my expectations greatly do to its' rapid development.
There's always something better, faster, newer, etc..

Popular Culture

Popular culture personally has an unconscious affect on me. I don't believe that it shapes my life but at the same time it does to an extent. For starters I don't believe that the way I dress or the friends i associate with are because of popular culture. I'm not your average person that pays attention to what's going on in the " In crowd!" I'm more or less the one who just thinks anything I do is what's popular. Now the unconscious affect that I'm referring to is how certain things can get stuck in your mind without you even knowing it. For example UGG boots are popular, personally I don't like them, but the more I see them on-line and in commercials they grow on me even though I don't like them. Now I won't knock anyone who has them I just won't spend my hard earned money on them! As far as the music and transportation goes, I usually like the none popular artist and I've always leaned more towards what I feel is popular not what the culture feels is popular. You have to be a LEADER not a follower!! IT'S A MINDSET!!!
